Benefits of Hockey
A sport for everyone
Hockey is a sport, played on a synthetic astro pitch that facilitates a safe and fun environment.
Hockey is played by juniors from the age of 7 right up to adults and senior citizens within our community.
Hockey is available to all sections of our society to participate in. Social inclusion programs and para hockey are actively supported within our club.
The sport can be played at speed or walking pace - as dictated by the members playing the game. We cater for all levels.
Skills to be learned through participation include:
The Rules of hockey - of which there are many!
... and so much more
Technique is a key element to learn in hockey, in terms of stick work and moves around the pitch
Hockey is a team based sport, that supports building life long relationships through sport inside a team environment
Hockey is fun - why not try it out and see for yourself?
Playing gives players an opportunity to practice what they learn
